2019 Grizzlies Girls Lacrosse Spring Team Season

Registration will open for the 2019 Grizzlies Spring Season on December 16th!  We will be forming girls teams based on registration for 9U-14U age groups (3rd-8th Grade).  All teams will be lead by Level 1 or Level 2 US Lacrosse Certified Coaches.  Coaches will place players based on age and ability level in accordance to CGLA regulations.  Final teams will be announced when registration is closed on February 28th.  Do not delay your sign up.  Register early to save money and reserve your player’s spot.  Team numbers will be limited to 16-18 players each.  Once each team reaches capacity, registration will be closed for that team.  We anticipate selling out each team as we have in years past.

Coaches: 

14U (7-8th Grade) Ken Ragsdale-Lev 2 and Kala Walden Lev 1 (18 players max)

12U (5-6th Grade) Dallas Palmer, Rob Raphael and Charles Meskee-Lev 1 (18 players max)

10U Shannon Mitchell (3rd-4th Grade) Lev 1 and Former NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Player (16 players max)

Practice:

Practice will be held Mondays and Thursdays beginning March 4th and ending on May 23that Dirty Woman Park, 4:30-6:30pm.

*Mandatory Parent Meeting March 11th at 5:30pm

*Optional Spring Break practice will be determined by each team head coach.

*Club BBQ May 23rd at DWP

*Weather is unpredictable in March and April.  PLEASE be sure that your daughter has layers of warm clothes, hat and gloves for every practice.

*Cancelations of practice for bad weather will be made by 4pm via email.

Requirements:

*All Players are required to have a current US Lacrosse Membership as well as a girls stick, eye mask and colored mouth guard. 

*All new first time lacrosse players can borrow a stick and eye mask for the duration of the season from Grizzlies Girls Lacrosse at no cost. 

Game Dates:

Games held on Saturdays throughout the larger Front Range area (Colorado Springs, Monument, Greater Denver Area and Boulder) in April and May.  Dates and Times will be release as CGLA posts the season schedule.

Tournament:  CGLA FESTIVAL MAY 25-26th in Denver.  Teams will play 3-5 games.

Our 2019 season will finish on May 26 at the CGLA Festival.

Price and Uniform:

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION OPEN NOW through FEB 12th

$200 Registration includes 22 practices, 6-8 CGLA officiated games, 1 CGLA Tournament Festival, Club BBQ and Grizzlies Magnet!  This registration is for returning players who do not need a new uniform!

$275 Registration includes 22 practices, 6-8 CGLA officiated games, 1 CGLA Tournament Festival, Club BBQ, Grizzlies Magnet AND Uniform (Jersey, Shorts and Socks)!  This registration is for NEW and returning players who need a new or larger uniform! Uniforms will have player’s name and number choice from available numbers.

STANDARD REGISTRATION FEB 13TH- Feb 28th

$235 Registration includes 22 practices, 6-8 CGLA officiated games, 1 CGLA Tournament Festival, Club BBQ and Grizzlies Magnet!  This registration is for returning players who do not need a new uniform!

$310 Registration includes 22 practices, 6-8 CGLA officiated games, 1 CGLA Tournament Festival, Club BBQ, Grizzlies Magnet AND Uniform (Jersey, Shorts and Socks)!  This registration is for NEW and returning players who need a new or larger uniform! Uniforms will NOT player’s name and will be assigned uniforms from in-stock sizes and jersey numbers.

*Sibling Discount of $50 off for second player from the same family available on both EB and Standard registration

Welcome to Grizzlies Girls Lacrosse

Grizzlies Girls Lacrosse is a non-profit 501c3 organization. 

Our mission is to foster life long enjoyment for the game of lacrosse for youth girls 3rd through 8th grades.  Through our coaches and voluteers, players will be taught individual fundamental skills, the essentials of team play, proper physical conditioning and most importantly, good sportsmanship.  GGL will strive to make participation in the sport of lacrosse affordable, safe and a positive experience for players, coaches and parents.  Grizzlies Girls Lacrosse is a volunteer organization.
